Can The Kuat Piston SR Bike Rack KU32VR Be Mounted On Both Sides Of The Ibex Truck Bed Rack?

Hello. I am looking at the Kuat Ibex Customizable Overland Truck Bed Rack - Aluminum - 300 lbs Item # KU36ZR for my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. I am getting it set up for overlanding and adventures into the wilderness, but I plan on putting a roof tent up on top and want to carry 2 mountain bikes as well. The hitch is being used to carry gear in a carrier already so I can't mount them there. This Ibex rack caught my attention as it looks like I can get 2 of the Kuat Piston SR Roof Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Wheel Mount - Aluminum Item # KU32VR and 2 of the Piston SR Bike Rack Mount for Ibex Truck Bed Rack Item # KU67ZR and I would be good to go. Is this accurate? Am looking at adding the Full Height MOLLE Panel for Kuat Ibex Truck Bed Racks - 70-1/2" Wide x 18-1/2" Tall Item # KU64ZR as well so this would be a big purchase and I want to make sure everything is right. Thanks for your help.

To start with, the Kuat Ibex Truck Bed Rack # KU36ZR is designed to fit a 2022 Toyota Tacoma with a 6 foot bed (with or without the Deck Rail System), so just double check your bed size to be sure. If you have the 5 foot bed, you will need the # KU29ZR as it is designed for the shorter bed (you would also need the shorter MOLLE panel # KU74ZR in this case).
Next up, everything you mention will absolutely work together. The Piston Bike Rack Mount for Ibex Truck Bed Racks # KU67ZR will mount to either side of the # KU36ZR rack (or on both sides in your case), and the Kuat Piston SR Bike Racks # KU32VR will mount to the Piston Bike Rack Mounts # KU67ZR. The MOLLE Panels # KU64ZR are also correct for the # KU36ZR rack. The # KU67ZR mounts and # KU32VR bike racks will also fit the # KU29ZR bed rack if you end up having the 5 foot bed as well.
Now to the most important part. You MUST check your state's laws and those of all the states being traveled to see if there is anything about bits sticking out past the mirrors on your vehicle. I know in some states you cannot, but I do not know if this is a nation wide thing or not. If there is a law saying you cannot have things sticking out past your mirrors, you will need to loosen you bars and twist them so they are parallel with the frame of the bikes and maybe remove the outer pedal.
I know that isn't a great option, but the only other way to carry your bikes would be with a front mount hitch, like the Curt # C31075, and a standard bike rack. I don't think I would recommend this for overlanding, though. It would mess up approach angles and potentially block the view a little, which could be pretty bad when off-roading.
