Hey Ben! I'm not seeing a previous question from you in our system that's tied to this email address but I'd be more than happy to help you out!
For a base plate kit I recommend going with either the etrailer Invisible Kit # e98946 or the Demco Classic # DM9518112. These have the same connection dimensions and fit with the recommended etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR, with the only real difference being that the etrailer version has removable tabs for a clean looking finish when you aren't towing while the Demco stays put - which some people like the looks of on vehicles like a Jeep.
To complete your flat towing setup I recommend the following parts:
- Base Plate Kit # e98946 OR # DM9518112
- Tow Bar # e34ZR (includes safety cables)
- Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit # HM56202
- Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Wire Adapter # HM47065
- Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400
- Brake System # DM86VR for Motorhome Hydraulic OR # DM26VR for Motorhome Air Brakes
- High-Low Adapter (see attached article)
The base plate and tow bar combinations are some of the best on the market and then for the Hopkins wiring you only have to tee in the connections behind your tail lights as opposed to splicing in your connections like what is required for most kits.
The relay kit allows your brake lights to work properly, and then the brake systems are a one-time installation so they are easy to connect/disconnect once installed, and they stay out of your way under normal driving circumstances.
Let me know if you have any questions about any of this!
