I have a 2005 Ford E150 with no factory trailer wiring. I have a Curt Echo Smart brake controller, Part Number 51180 that installs between the vehicle 7 pin connector and the trailer 7 pin controller. Will this harness work for the Curt Echo without installing an under dash brake controller?

The 4-way install harness part # C56020 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2005 Ford E-150 van and would be one component needed to install your Curt Echo part # C79DR. You would also need the part # C26DR with 10 gauge wire part # 10-1-1 sold by foot to go from the battery to the adapter and also a 7-way connector like the part # PK11893.
