For your 2023 Ford Escape Hybrid, I recommend checking out the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23FR. This hitch has a max capacity of 3,500 lbs, a maximum tongue weight of 525 lbs, and has a class III 2" receiver.

You're also going to need a set of wiring # C59236 to provide lights to anything you plan to haul.
