Question:

I have a discontinued Bargman L-400 lock on my 2005 Escape travel trailer. Im looking for a replacement that can be locked from the inside while we are camping. The current lock and opening are 6 7/8 x 2 7/8. I would need something that fits the hole and covers it, ideally

I recommend the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR to replace your Bargman L400. Since there is not a direct bolt on replacement for the Bargman L400 you will need to fabricate a panel to cover the larger hole on your door and accept the the new latch. If this is something you do not feel comfortable doing you should be able to have this accomplished at a nearby trailer service shop.
