Features:

European style locking latch lets you replace the existing latch on your RV's entry door
- Handle shape is easier and more comfortable to use than the traditional paddle style often used on RVs

This is the style door handle I wanted more than any other they had. I wasn't sure how easy it was going to be to install and after having finished I don't recommend anyone retrofitting this handle for the basic style door lock. There was a lot of door cutting and repositioning of the latch and striker plate. I'm very happy with the finished product and love having a handle I can grab and swing open with a natural motion. Just know that it wasn't as easy as removing the old and screwing in the new. Installed on a 2020 Grand Design Imagine 2970RL

Solution for Needing to Replace Bargman L-400 RV Latch on Travel Trailer
I recommend the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR to replace your Bargman L400. Since there is not a direct bolt on replacement for the Bargman L400 you will need to fabricate a panel to cover the larger hole on your door and accept the the new latch. If this is something you do not feel comfortable doing you should be able to have this accomplished at a nearby trailer service shop.

What Do You Pull On To Close The Bauer European Style RV Entry Door Lock From Inside The Trailer
On the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR you would pull on the handle that says "open" (pictured below) to close the door from the inside of your trailer. As for fitment, you'll need to remove your current entry door lock and measure the cutout hole to determine if this is a correct fit. This lock requires a cutout hole 2-3/4" tall x 3-3/4" wide.

That isn't a complaint that I have heard a lot of concerning the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR. Finding a replacement hand rail could be a solution. I'm not sure what travel trailer you have or what hand rail set-up you are currently using but something like the Stromberg Carlson Folding Handrail # AC-300 may work. Based on the pictures you provided you will need to alter the cutout hole slightly to fit any other entry door lock. We don't currently carry any adapter plates to cover your cutout hole and fit the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR, but you could still make this work. First I would fill in the excess space where the door lock wouldn't sit and so that you can properly install the lock in the door without it having room to wiggle around.
