Comparing Demco And Roadmaster Baseplates For A 2020 Jeep Cherokee

Im debating between the Roadmaster tow bar setup and the Demco setup. The Demco looks heavier duty and I like the ability to move and lock each arm independently, but the Roadmaster looks to have a better cable management system and lock pins on the vehicle side that look easier to use, and the system is less expensive. I want a system that does not require removal and storage of the adapter piece between the base plate and the tow bar. Any feedback or input?

Both the Demco and Roadmaster baseplate options have removable arms so that they're not just sitting out in the elements or knocking your shins when you walk around the front of the vehicle, as well as giving you a more hidden factory look. That being said, you don't have to remove the arms of the baseplate and can just leave them in the baseplate. Both Roadmaster and Demco offer top tier quality with their products so either way you'll be getting a great baseplate.
There's a slight difference between the sub models for your 2020 Jeep Cherokee:
Overland and Trailhawk models:
Roadmaster # RM-521451-5
Demco # DM9519340
Between these two the Roadmaster baseplate does have larger arms that I would recommend removing and storing when not in use, but also has more spacing between the arms and safety chain mounts, making it the better choice.
Non Overland and Trailhawk models:
Roadmaster # RM-521452-5
Demco # DM9519338
The spacing for the safety chain mounts is a bit better with the Demco baseplates for this model but the Roadmaster baseplate for this grouping offers a mounting spot for the breakaway switch so I'd have to stick with Roadmaster again. The only drawback is that once again is that you would most likely want to remove the arms and store them separately when not in use.
