Question:

I have the Roadmaster Tow set up, I am looking at buy a vehicle that is set up with a Demco base plate. Do the twist lock pins have the same dimensions as the Demco pins. Will the twist lock pins from Roadmaster exchange with Demco? Thank you

I have a solution for you, but Demco Base Plates are not directly compatible with Roadmaster tow bars, so you will need to use an adapter; this doesn't have as much to do with the pin size as it does the way the tow bar connects to the base plate. Without knowing which tow bar and base plates you've got I can give you some general examples that you might find helpful, but I've also linked our helpful article on Base Plate adapters that will allow you to match up the Roadmaster tow bar model you have with the correct adapter for your Demco base plates.

You can use a Roadmaster tow bar like the Falcon 2 # RM-520 with Demco base plates like the # DM9519291 but you will need to use an adapter since the two manufacturers use different connections between the two. To use Demco tabless base plates with a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar you'll need to use the # DM9523036. If you have Demco Classic base plates you'll want to use the # RM-034 or # DM9523036.
