Can Demco A-Frame Coupler with 21k Capacity be Used on 31 ft Airstream

Question:

Hello, I am looking to replace my welded on coupler on my 1977 31foot airstream trailer with this demco ez latch product. Is a bolt on coupler safe for a 31foot airstream? I assume yes or it wouldnt be sold. Do I have any merit in being concerned about bolt on vs. weld on? Weld on seems more secure but more of a hassle. Thanks!

Yes, the Demco coupler part # DM16680-52 is safe to use on a 31 foot air stream trailer like you have. Bolting on and welding on coupler is both perfectly safe to do. I would agree bolt on is easier in a sense but if you have a welder that route would be pretty easy too.
