What size grade 8 bolts are needed for install?

The bolts required to install the Demco 50-Degree A Frame Trailer Coupler # DM13205-95 are 3/8" diameter x 1-3/4" long Grade 5 bolts. I spoke with the manufacturer and they confirmed that you won't want to use Grade 8 bolts on this install since they won't provide enough flex and may end up shearing through the coupler frame or breaking off completely.
