Does Demco 50 Degree Coupler DM16680-52 Get Welded and Bolted to Trailer Frame

Question:
Do I use the boots to secure this to my trailer only or do I also weld it on? I have a Factory 2 5/16 - 50 degree welded hitch currently on my trailer but it popped of from the ball latch being out of adjustment. I wish to replace with this.

The Demco coupler part # DM16680-52 that you referenced can be either bolted on or welded on. You would not need to do both to securely install it.
