Question:
My trailer has a 7 prong system. I am looking for a wiring harness that works on my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. There is a trailer brake too. Is there a harness that’ll allow the truck to charge the battery? Thank You.

It sounds like your trailer has a 7-way plug and your 2002 Toyota Tacoma does not. If your Tacoma has a 4-way installed already, you can use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 to adapt the 4-way into a 7-way. If it does not have a 4-way, you would need to add a 4-way first. This can be done using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118379.
Since your trailer has brakes, you would also need a brake controller if you do not already have one. I like the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR because it has a small knob instead of a bulky controller and provides a much more sleek appearance when installed.
If you are wanting to charge the battery as well, you would want to add the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR.
