Question:

I am looking to buy a trailer hitch for my 2016 Honda Civic sedan, just for a bike rack, not for a trailer. I have been told that the rack that I am getting needs a 2 inch opening, but the hitch that comes up on the site is a 1.25 inch opening? Is there a 2.0 inch trailer hitch that is compatible with my 2016 Honda?

I do have an option for you but there are not any class III, 2" trailer hitches for a 2016 Honda Civic. There are only class 1, 1-1/4" options like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11604 which is what I recommend using. That said, you can use an adapter like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" part # e43YR or part # e93YR but just keep in mind, they reduce capacity so you're now limited to 100 lbs for the bikes and rack.
