It was easy to install, about one hour, and it fits perfect on my honda 2016, the best part: I was able to pull a uhaul trailer from Oregon to California (1000 miles ) with no issues am so glad I bought it from etrailer

Great instructions, all parts needed included.
Get yourself a really good step bit, take it slow and easy. I couldn't get enough pressure so I used a floor jack on the back of the drill and that did the trick.
I drove it on a Honda Civic for 12 hours from New Orleans to North Carolina not once I had a problem the only thing is that I was only able to drive no more than 5 miles over the speed limit

This is everything I was looking for. I had it installed by a local garage and it has been perfect. After a year it still looks new and has made many trips with a bike rack attacked.

Great delivery time. Shipped to my house within 2-days of placing the order. I actually drove back home to get it and install it with a family member, it shipped so fast.
Only issue I had was not with quality, but with DRILLING THE HOLES THROUGH METAL during the installation.
You NEED SPECIAL DRILL BITS - COBALT COATED DRILL BITS to drill through the metal/steel frame on the underside of my Honda Civic.
Once we got the right drill bits, the rest of the installation went pretty fast.
The DIRECTIONS on ETRAILER and CURT'S website did not say you needed cobalt drill bits to drill through steel on the underside of the car.
Other than that, great product. Waiting for my bike rack to arrive so I can use the hitch.

Great product. Very durable.
Very solid hitch. It took me about 1.5 hours but was not that hard to install. The cold bothered me more than the work. The frame on the Honda is pretty hard, so getting the first holes through was interesting. After that things went smoothly. The step drill is a necessity. Also a good drill is needed. I put the rear of the car on ramps and this provided plenty of clearance to drill holes. I used a car jack to hold the hitch in place to mark location and then when finally installing. The fish wires worked perfectly, really a great addition.
Instructions and video were excellent.

Easy to install and looks good
Purchased 1 year ago. I bought this to install on my honda civic so I could put a bike rack on the back for trips. I've only done this a few times throughout the year but never any issues. I like etrailer's website for showing pictures of the products on your specific vehicle because I know next to nothing about cars and car parts. The customer service is definitely above the norm and I would purchase from etrailer again

I have ordered many hitches from this company b/c my wife gets company cars and we only have them a couple of years. So about every 2/3 years I have to get another hitch for my bike rack. I have always been pleased with the products and have yet to find a better price point. I recommend this company if you need a hitch.
Awesome Hitch, perfect for the bike rack and 2 bikes I'm pulling made my life easier knowing i can secure my bikes to something for travel without damaging my trunk or the bikes. The company itself has tons of great reviews and I only came here on a recommendation but after see the step by step tutorial on installation I was all in and ordered the same day. Have not regretted it, going on almost a month now. So hyped! You'll hear me rave to the next one looking for a hitch about this company!

It would be nice if you offered a tool to cut through tempered steel.
On my 2016 Honda Civic, the frame steel where the back holes ( nearest to the bumper) of the hitch mount is tempered steel. I had to use a stone grinding wheel to cut those holes. The front holes drilled with a standard bit.
Just finished installing the tow receiver, which, for one person, was fairly easy. The installation took about 45 minutes, but I had a couple of problems. The first problem with the installation occurred when I was only given three carriage bolts, instead of four. So, I had to go to the hardware store to get one, but they didn’t have any, because they are 7/16” and the store only had 3/8” & 1/2”, so I went with the 3/8” and then adapted the fish wire to accept it. Other than that, the installation went smoothly. I then installed my bike rack and went for a quick drive and found it was super sturdy, without any wobble.
Great Hitch and very easy to install for the do it yourself person. I use the hitch for my bike rack only as the vehicle does not recommend pulling a trailer. I'm considering buying a new vehicle and I will be a repeat customer.

This hitch receiver has treated me very well. After a year of regular use with a bike rack, it has held up very well. It also looks great. Installation was simple and did not take very long.
Super easy assembly and the instructions were great. Very solid.
Ordering / shipping was straightforward and a year in the hitch is still working perfectly with my bike rack. Would definitely recommend !
