Hey Mark! The B&W Continuum # BW78FR is great for any setup as long as you're in the 600–1,600 lb tongue weight range of the system. The best part about it is you can set it perfectly for any tongue weight so it won't be over or underrated. This includes when your trailer is full or when you're coming home empty.
It does not have what I would call traditional sway control like the friction systems you typically see. However, it still cuts out that sway and keeps you level. I think the hydraulic pump issues have been resolved, there were some problems with the initial rollout a few years ago but they took care of that. If you do run into an issue, B&W will get parts to you right away under their lifetime warranty.
I'm sure your truck has a 2-1/2" receiver so you can pick up the # BW28FR which comes with the 2-1/2" shank. We also have the Continuum # BW64BR with an extra long shank if you want clearance to be able to drop your tailgate and clear the jack on your trailer.
Where are you headed next with the HIdeout?

I purchased this hitch over a year ago and it iosw BY FAR the best I've ever had. It has p[roven to be notably a great weight distributor for my F150 but the sway control is amazing as well. It's not always easy to hitch up but I just need to take my time and it will work. I was also concerned about the hydraulic part, but it just works, and it works well in WD.

This B&W hitch is great! Easy to hook up and adjust. And does a great job controlling sway. We use it on a 2020 Tahoe towing a 16' enclosed trailer that weighs 6500lbs. The hitch head is pretty heavy, but manageable. The best part is once hitched, there are no chains and bars to have to deal with. Pump the hydraulics and away you go.

The B&W Continuum is an awesome system. I have a Stryker ST2916 and it’s great when I go from towing empty to having a full size Polaris ranger and a 4 wheeler in the garage. It took some time getting my hydraulic pressure set for different loads: full water/full garage, no water/full garage, etc. Once I had them written down, I load and go. Great sway control, you don’t have to unhook anything when backing up, and it’s super versatile.

I bought the 2.5 inch one so I didn’t have to use the adapter in the hitch, but I have it in my 24 f350 pulling a alpha wolf 33rl-l which is a 40ft travel trailer. I love the thing, it’s quick and easy installed nice and the trailer is comfortable pulling, I’m not on the edge of my seat pulling like I did with the old chain style.
