Question:
My in-laws just got a 2023 Highlander hybrid with the tow package but they didnt install a 7 pin or brake controller just the 4 pin. Do you sell options to either convert it to 7 pin with a controller or add the controller to it the car in some way so that they can tow a small camper?

Since your in-laws 2023 Highlander already has a 4-way connector, you will want the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your Toyota with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.
You will then connect the blue wire to the blue wire on the brake controller, the black wire to the positive post on the vehicle's battery, the white wire to ground, and the yellow wire to vehicle's reverse circuit if applicable. This will provide you with the ability to control your trailer's brakes and also provide you with a 12v power wire for you trailer's accessory lights.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. The Tow-Pro Liberty has a unique installation method where the main unit is concealed behind your dash and the only visible part is the control knob.
To complete the installation you will also need the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED69FR. You will need to hardwire the brake controller since your Highlander does not have a port to plug in a brake controller.
For a factory look using an empty switch space in your dash, this control knob insert item # 331-TPSI-002 is designed specifically for your Highlander.
