As far as size is concerned, you want the bunks/rollers to be at least half the length of your boat. Whether bunks or rollers are the better option really comes down to your use.
If you take your boat on and off of the trailer quite a bit, then going with rollers would be a good choice. The boat will smoothly roll over the bunks which is easier and less taxing on the hull of the boat. Given the size of your boat you would need to use 3 of each product below:
- CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers # CE27700
- CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks # CE10003G-4
The more economical option would be to use bunk boards. Bunk boards are by no means a bad choice, they just aren't going to have the smoothness of the rollers and are a little more harsh on the hull of your boat. That being said, if you are only putting on or taking off your boat a couple times a year or you are looking for a more budget friendly choice then bunks are the way to go. For this you would want to use 2 of the bunks and brackets listed below:
- CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27840
- CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10000G-4
Personally, unless you have a heavy boat or you frequently put on and take off the boat on the trailer I would go with the bunk boards.
