Features to know about

Snug Boat Hull Fit: Swivel Brackets for Tilt Adjustment

Loading your boat onto a trailer can be a tricky task, especially when it doesn’t fit quite right. Thanks to the strong swivel brackets, the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies allow the bunk boards to tilt. This design helps snugly fit your boat's hull perfectly onto the trailer during loading, making the entire process smoother and hassle-free.

Durable and Rust-Free: Galvanized Steel Construction

When it comes to durability, rust can be a major worry, especially if you’re a fan of saltwater adventures. Made from 11-gauge galvanized steel, the assemblies are hot-dipped in zinc, creating a thick all-around coating that resists rust and corrosion. This ensures years of reliable use under varying conditions, without the fear of your brackets degrading.

Adaptable Installations: Versatile Mounting Slots

Trailer frames come in all shapes and sizes. With mounting slots that allow for up to 3-3/4 inches of height adjustment, these bolster brackets easily fit different frame configurations, granting you the flexibility needed for a custom trailer build or a simple fit.

User-Friendly Setup: Dimpled Surfaces for Stability

Keeping your brackets securely in place during and after installation is important for long-lasting performance. These bracket assemblies feature dimpled surfaces that help prevent unwanted sliding along the trailer frame, providing a stable base for your bunk boards without the need for constant readjustment.

Perfect for Small Boats: Specific Design for Smaller Loads

If you own a smaller boat, this product is tailor-made for you. The CE Smith assemblies are often matched with 15-foot boats or other small watercraft, designed cost-effectively to offer robust support without the unnecessary over-engineering meant for larger vessels, striking the right balance between functionality and efficiency.

  • Recommended Roller Bunks Replacement for Wooden Bunks for G3 1860 Boat
We do have a variety of roller bunks that can be used as a direct replacement for carpeted bunks. I recommend either going with the 2,500 lb capacity which comes in Black # DL21754 or Silver # DL21740, OR the 3,000 lb capacity which also comes in Black # DL21755 or Silver # DL21741. I have also attached a link to all of the options that you can check out, as well as a link to all of our brackets if they also need replacing.

  • Should Lock Washers or Nylon Lock Nuts be Used for CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket
Hey Dave, I think you figured out your problem without realizing it - you need to have either lock washers or nylon lock nut in order to secure the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10000G-4 to your trailer frame. Without hardware that "locks" in place, the weight of your boat will slowly cause everything to start slipping the more you use it. We don't have a specific torque spec for the hardware, but if you try using the correct hardware for it, I'm confident you'll...

  • Will A Stryker LX 360 Air Boat Fit On CE Smith Multi Sport Boat Trailer CE48810?
Since your Stryker LX 360 inflatable boat is 11'7" long x 5'6" wide it will fit on the CE Smith Multi Sport Boat and Kayak Trailer w/ Bunks - 8" Wheels - 12' Boat - 800 lbs # CE48810 you were looking at and have the motor/transom completely on the bunks, but the front half of the boat will not be. • Can Bunk Boards Longer Than 69-1/2" be Installed on a Boat Trailer
Hey Dave, thanks for reaching out again! To be honest, boat trailers are a DIYers best friend because each one is different and people will swap things out to fit different needs, just like you're doing now. Basically, as long as it fits on your trailer and all of the weight ratings are being observed you'll be good to go. Bolster brackets like the CE Smith # CE10000G-4 are industry standard, and while there are likely some unique brackets with different mounting pieces out there in the...

Hey Jarrod. There's 3-13/16" of usable space and threads inside the CE Smith U-Bolts item # CE15283GA-8. If your rails are only 2" wide you're going to have plenty of threads left after installing the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assembly item # CE10000G. The threaded portion of the u-bolt is 1-1/2" long. What kind of trailer do you have?

Hey Jeff. The CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies item # CE10000G-4 are going to need a 3-1/16" wide on the inside u-bolt that has threads that go down to at least 1-1/2" from the inside of the bolt. The 3-13/16" Long x 3-1/16" Wide CE Smith U-Bolts item # CE15283GA-4, you were looking at aren't going to work with a 1-1/2" wide frame member. The threads don't go down far enough. You'll need to source those u-bolts elsewhere as we do not have any that will work. The 1-1/4" long...

  • Availability of 10' Long Carpeted Bunk Boards
Hey Verne! I do have a solution but, 10' bunk boards are not something that we carry. What you can do is use two of the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 5' Long # CE27820 to get your 10' length. This will work just as well as an actual 10' board. You will also need the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10000G-4. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out in the comments below.

The CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies part # CE10000G-4 do not have a specified weight capacity as it can vary by the strength of the u-bolts used in conjunctions with these brackets as well as how many brackets are used per board. In order to switch from rollers to bunks, you will need to remove the rollers that you are no longer using. I do not see a reason why you can't continue to use the front rollers. You would just want bunks that stop a little but before the front rollers so they do not interfere with each other. You would need to get the bunk boards, swivel brackets and u-bolts for installing the bunk boards. As far as size is concerned, you want the bunks/rollers to be at least half the length of your boat. Whether bunks or rollers are the better option really comes down to your use. If you take your boat on and off of the trailer quite a bit, then going with rollers would be a good choice. The boat will smoothly roll over the bunks which is easier and less taxing on the hull of the boat. Given the size of your boat you would need to use 3 of each product below: - CE Smith Roller Bunks for...

  • How Many Support Brackets Are Needed For A 14 Foot Bunk Board Carrying A Pontoon Boat?
As the bunks will be support the weight of your pontoon boat, I always recommend getting them to the end of the transom, or as close as possible. As you mentioned using 14 foot long boards, you will want at least 4 evenly spaced support brackets per board, but 5 is better. You have a few options for these brackets as well. I tend to like the CE Smith V-Wing Bolster Bracket # CE26244G as I prefer the rigid style and it can hold two boards. However, our most popular style is the CE Smith...

You'd really need to base it off the hull design of the boat you plan to tow. I'd use swivel bunk brackets like the part # CE10000G-4 to mount the boards as these allow you to angle the boards to match the shape of your boat's hull. • How To Choose the Correct Roller or Carpeted Bunk Boards for a Trailer
The size of bunk board or bunk roller you will need for your boat trailer is based off the hull size. However, generally speaking the manufacturer knows what size roller/bunk works best for the boat/trailer. Therefore I recommend using the same size that the trailer came with but it wouldn't hurt to go a bit longer if you have room. If you are switching from rollers to carpeted bunk boards then I would go longer. For the carpeted bunk board option we have part # CE27800 which are 36" long,...

This can absolutely be done. While there are not "kits" for doing the conversion, we do have the parts that you will need. These are not kitted together because each boat/trailer combination is different, so it is easier to not kit them. It is recommended to have bunk boards that are at least 50% of the length of your boat. You can have longer boards if you would like, but you want at minimum 50% of the length. Since your boat is 21', you will want bunks that are at least 10.5' long. I...
