Correct Replacement Hub for Boat Trailer with 3,500 Lb Axle.
Published 02/15/2023 >
Question:
I have a tandem axle boat trailer and am needing to replace a hub on the free axle. It is an Axis Products 3700# axle made in 08/07. Serial # 203640 C 004. What would you suggest?

In most cases, a 3,700 lb axle will use the same bearings and seal as a 3,500 lb axle which means you can use any hub for a 3,500 lb axle on a 3,700 lb axle. The bearings for a 3,500 lb axle are L68149 for the inner, L44649 for the outer, and the seal is a 10-19. If this is what you have you can use the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # 84545UC1-EZ.
Unfortunately, there's no way for us to know what you have for sure, even with the serial number. If you want to know for sure what you have, the only way would be to pull a hub and read and or measure the bearings and seal. I have attached an article below that will walk you through this.
I have also attached for you below a list of our hubs, you can filter by type, size, and bolt pattern etc.
