Correct Hubs/Drums and Brakes for an Axis 3,500 Lb Trailer Axle

Question:
I am currently looking to replace the electric brake assembly and swap over to an integrated hub and drum assembly. The axle tag says it’s an Axis 3,500 lb cap and it shows the serial # 518576 917-19709. Evidently the previous owner had lost a wheel bearing and I’m thinking they found an idler hub that fit and left the drum assembly off or it originally came with a separate hub and drum assembly. The current hub that I want to replace has P1581750 on it and the drum has Axis and CBI 08D2 on it. I’m looking at your PN AKEBRK-35 for the brakes and AKHD-545-35-K for the drum. The Axis information I can find online hasn’t been much help. I’ve had great service from E-Trailer for my TT with the same problems. Y’all are great.

I do have some options for you but we don't really have the ability to look up old trailer part numbers, especially from less common manufacturers such as Axis. That said, pretty much every 3,500 lb trailer axle over the last few decades has used the same size spindle and brake mounting flange so odds are very likely that the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35 and Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-545-35-K will work for you.
If you want to be absolutely certain there is no chance for error, you will have no other options but to pull the hub apart and measuring the bearings or spindle. I have attached a help article below if you need further assistance on this.
