Question:

2021 Forest River Cedar Creek 31IK The existing ladder was bent enough to cause the ladder to flex and bend, creating a small break in the aluminum in one of the upper sections. The ladder has seven steps. The bottom is a round step since there is no bumper. The Stromberg Carlson looks like the best replacement, but I was trying to think of another option. Do you think I could buy the Stromberg hinged connectors, cut the ladder at the breaking point, and use the connectors where the break was cut out? Or any other ideas. Thanks for your help.

The only option we can offer for your Forest River Cedar Creek is a full replacement exterior ladder, we have no way of confirming parts for your existing ladder unfortunately. I do agree however that the Stromberg Carlson Exterior RV Ladder part # LA-401BA is your best option for replacement and a very similar match to the original. It comes with all the hardware and brackets you need for installation, just make sure to seal up andyunused holes from the original.

If you want to try and repair your existing ladder using the Replacement Swivel Hinges for Surco Exterior RV Ladders part # SPN-422, you'll need to make sure the ladder has 1" tubing.
