Will the Thule EasyFold XT fit the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - DT79MR without the use of an adapter

Yes, the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 will fit in a 2" class III receiver. The rack will come with a removable adapter if you need to use it on a vehicle with a 1-1/4" receiver. This adapter is held in place with 2 screws so you are not trying to align the adapter with any hitch pins.

We do have the Extra-Long Loading Ramp # TH933402 that is 17" longer than the included ramp and works best on your taller trucks and SUV's.

Where can I purchase this adapter for my 2” hitch? I bought this bike rack from a person who no longer has the adapter.

@Christy Hello Christy! You will want the Replacement 2" Hitch Adapter for Thule Apex, EasyFold, or Helium Bike Carriers # TH8523185001, you will also need (2) of the # 852-3136-001, and a # 853-0930 (if you do not have a set of allen wrenches already).

i have just had the new VW pop out round ball tow bar fitted to my car. Is there a converter to take my 2 inch tongue bike rack so it fits just the new tow ball. Or do i have to buy a whole new bike rack?

@Jayson that is the ball mount that rotates up and out from behind the bumper right? Does it have a receiver attachment or is it just the hitch ball? If it is just the ball there is no way to mount the bike rack unless VW has a different attachment you can add.
