Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement two-inch hitch adapter sleeve for the Yakima two-timer bike rack.This slides over the stinger on your inch-and-a-quarter bike rack to actually make it adaptable for a two-inch hitch receiver. A lot of bike racks out there will have a stinger that is an inch-and-a-quarter to fit in those smaller hitches. And then you'll need an adapter to make it work for the larger size hitch.It doesn't reduce any of the capacity. It's going to work just the same way. It's just now you have this little piece that goes on the end. Comes with a bolt to attach that to the stinger on your bike rack.
So you'll just match up the holes on the stinger and on your adapter. Put the inaudible 00:00:46 bolt bolt through and then tighten it down with the included tool.Again, the nut, excuse me, the screw and the tool are included with this adapter, so you won't have to worry about finding your old one if it got lost somewhere or damaged.This is specifically for the Yakima two-timer bike rack, which is part number Y02468 or Y02468-FB. That would be the fat bike adapter, or fat bike-configured two-timer, but really it'll fit over just about any bike rack that has that inch-and-a-quarter shank as long as the holes line up for the screw. Really it's more of the screw and the thread pitch on that that's going to matter.But, again, we'll get our adapter here. Measures about four inches long and then outside to outside, as you can see, right at that two inches.This is a direct replacement part from Yakima, so you know it's going to work with your bike rack.That's going to do it for our look at the replacement two-inch hitch adapter sleeve for Yakima two-timer bike rack..

The site description states for two timer rack. I have a buckhorn. The adaptor fits. I will have to drill and tap a hole for the set screw.
Excellent service and I received what I needed for adapter
Service and shipping was spot on, but the screw hex head stripped out as we were trying to install the adapter and it ended up messing up the connector so we could not use any of it. A waste of $$

The 2" Hitch adapter fit my Doubledown 4 perfectly, as well as the Hitch bolt. And fast and accurate order fullfillment.
Works to adapt other Yakima 1 1/4 racks to a 2” hitch, just can’t use the bolt to hold it on is all.
