Replacement Anti-Rattle Tightening Knob for a Thule Apex Bike Rack

Question:

The gear inside my knob has rounded and will not allow me to tighten my Apex rack into the hitch to where it is sturdy. Does the direct replacement knob include the internal components or is it just the replacement plastic knob.

The Replacement Locking Anti-Rattle Knob for Thule Apex Bike Racks and Rain Gutter Foot Packs # 753-0073 does have a threaded M8 x 1.25 internal section so you can re-thread it onto your bike rack.

Since that's what sounds like got hollowed out, this'll be what you're going to want.
