My Bike Rack with 2 bikes mounted weigh less than 150 lb. and the hitch is rated for 350 lb. tongue weight. Do I need a support strap for this application?

Expert Reply:
You do not need a support strap to carry your bikes with the Class III etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e69AR on your 2003 Honda CR-V. The hitch will definitely be strong enough to hold the bikes and your bike rack.
If you'd like to add one just to help limit movement of your bike rack then I recommend picking up the Curt # 18050.
