Question:

I am looking this fall to get the Roadmaster Night Hawk for my 2022 for Escape Hybrid so that I can flat tow this behind our RV. I am just in the planning phase now, but will you help me with whatever else I will need i.e. brakes for the car, front plate, battery charge kit, wiring for lighting, etc. Regards

I'd be more than happy to help guide you through the parts you need to flat tow your 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid! Typically for a flat tow setup you're looking to use a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. It looks like you also need a charge line kit to keep your battery from dying while it's in tow mode and a relay to keep your lights working properly. Here are the parts I recommend using:

The Nighthawk is an excellent tow bar that's easy to connect to the Direct-Connect base plate and it includes safety cables and some wiring. The Towing Combo Kit completes the wiring but also includes some locks and a cover for the tow bar. The Charge Line Kit prevents your battery from dying and the Relay Kit keeps the brake lights operating properly. Then for the brake kits I really like these systems because they install permanently on the vehicle and are pretty easy to get setup for towing plus they remain out of the way so you don't even realize they are there during everyday driving.
