Question:

Hello! We found this car and it checked all of our boxes as we were told, we could flat tow it behind our motorhome. As we’ve been searching for the parts to buy to put on the car, we are seeing statements stating that no plug-in hybrids can be towed just regular hybrids… Can anybody confirm this before we buy this car? We really thought we had it all figured out. I’m hoping somebody can tell us that we can flat tow this behind our class A motorhome. Thanks so much.

I went ahead and checked the owner's manual for your 2022 Ford Escape, and you can absolutely tow your vehicle behind your class A RV.

With that being said, you're going to need:

-A baseplate kit, like the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM39FR,

-A set of tow bars, like the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # RM-677,

-A braking system, like the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700,

&

-A set of tow bar wiring, like theRoadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154.
