Easy to install. Of the five base plate I've installed, this was the easiest. Fit well on an Escape PHEV.
Plus the tow pim are easy to retreive. Easier than the blue ox system.
The videos on installation were very helpful. Did have to drill/grind on both the car and the base plate, but it wasn't too bad.
Connecting the tow vehicle with this system is very easy and that is why I selected it.
I received the base plate before the new car it will go on has been delivered so at this point I cannot comment on the quality. I can say that I was very pleased with etrailer. Their service is excellent, prices are good, and shipping is fast. I have ordered from them in the past and will do so again.

It is working great. No problems.
2020 Ford Escape. Overall, I am happy with the finished product. Seems sturdy and looks good. A little tricky drilling holes in the plastic bumper and the measurements provided in the instruction were way off, but I took my time and took lots of measurements and managed to make it look pretty good I think. Only other criticism is that the instructions could have been more detailed /precise and better pictures. I felt that the were more vague as I progressed.
It was great that there was a video for my specific application, and I watched it several times. The kit also came with detailed step by step instructions that followed the video and those were helpful during the installation. The instructions and video covered each step, so the installation was straightforward by simply following them. Removing and then reattaching the nose piece would be easier with 2 people. I had to do this alone so for me the reattaching of the nose piece was the most difficult part. The photos I included are the finished product and I think it looks very clean and blends right in with the front grill, without the arms of course. I travelled over 2000 miles and it worked great.
The tow bars hook up easily to my dinghy car, a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. I like that the arms dis-attach easily and can be stored elsewhere. The tow arms attach quickly and easily to the baseplate arms. I do like this system. The installers put it in, so I cannot comment on how easy that was. I know the installers contacted etrailer for their questions, so I was glad to hear that.
I had a local body shop perform the install for this. The owner told me how impressed he was at both the build quality and fit, as well as the instructions.
