i am doing a disc brake conversion and need to know the type and size of nut to bolt my caliper holders on in place of the backing plate. i wanted to put new nuts on instead of disassembling old axle. I am putting new axles on with the conversion

The mounting bolts used with 12" braking assemblies, like the:
-Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-105 for the left side, and # 23-106 for the right side, is 1-1/4" Long x 3/8" diameter mounting bolts with the corresponding 3/8"-24 nuts.
If you need a full set, you can use the Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 12" Single Brake Assembly # BRKH12S, which contains 5 mounting bolts, 5 nuts, and 5 lock washers.
