Hi, any hitch available that definitely won’t interfere with the hands-free light gate sensors? No towing planned, will use for bike rack. Thanks!

We have installed and tested the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH97FR on a 2021 Toyota RAV4 with the hands-free lift gate feature and it still continued to work after the receiver was installed. I have linked the installation video below that will demonstrate the feature working. There is no reason that you should have any different results with your 2022 RAV4.

The Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56434 will allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 or any lights that may be built in on your bike rack. It will also allow you to tow small trailers with a 4-way flat connection if the need arises in the future. The Mounting Brackets # 18144 and # 18136 will allow you to secure the 4-way to your receiver without drilling if you rather mount it outside the rear compartment.
