Will Installing Hitch on 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Disable the Power Liftgate

Question:

I see in the description that the hands-freefoot option may not work where one waves their foot under rear bumper. But will the power liftgate itself work with either the remote on the key fob, or by pushing the button on the hatch itself?

The installation of a hitch like the # C66KR will not interfere with the power liftgate on your 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The only thing it may impact is the hands-free sensor. So your key fob and the button will continue to work as intended. However, I would recommend installing a Class III hitch like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e23ZR over the Class II hitch.

The # e23ZR has a 2" receiver which will give you a lot more options for accessories such as bike racks. It also comes with a matte black finish which does a better job of hiding dirt and scratches when compared to a glossy finish like the one on the Curt hitch.
