There are a few things that go into making sure you choose the correct replacement landing gear. First you need to be sure that the landing gear is rated properly. If you check out the weight rating on your current landing gear just make sure the replacement is rated for at least the same amount.
The next step is making sure that the replacement landing gear has weld stops in the same locations as your current landing gear. This lets you replace the landing gear without having to do any welding. For example, the Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000 that you referenced is rated for 8,000 lbs and has weld stops with outside measurements of 17-1/2" (see attached picture). This is the most common measurement for weld stops so it is very likely that this landing gear set will fit.
The last thing to reference is the leg height. The etrailer landing gear has a retracted height of 32-3/4" and an extended height of 53-1/4". It is okay if the replacement landing gear is a little longer but you definitely don't want to choose landing gear that is shorter.
If this is the correct landing gear for your application then you will also need a manual hand crank # RVLG-HDL. To add a motor you will need parts # LC142178 and # LG-145236 as well. If you already have a motor just let me know what you have and I can see if this is compatible.
We also have the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010 rated at 12,000 lbs which has weld stops at 3 points along the legs (see attached picture). If these match up with your landing gear then this is the set you want to use instead. Each leg has its own motor which allows you to level your 5th wheel on uneven ground.
Review videos of both options have been linked for you to check out.

My jack now is 37" tall just the black part. The weld stops are correct but what will change with a shorter piece? thanks Tom
