Question:

Hi. I assume your hitch installs with a 2022 Mazda CX-5? Also, I’ve watched the video and think I can handle the installation... but my question is, is it possible to do it without a hoist? I’d have to crawl under the car to do it.

The Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 76138 is indeed a fit for a 2022 Mazda CX-5. Because the muffler on your vehicle is very large and is positioned at the center of the vehicle, it'll need to be temporarily lowered as shown in the linked install video.

It will be very difficult to lower the muffler without the rear of the vehicle being raised, so I'd recommend using a set of ramps such as # FT11909MI to provide some room under the rear of the vehicle.

If you're planning on towing with the hitch, you'll need to add a trailer wiring harness like # 118746, a ball mount like # D-28 and a # PC3 hitch pin and a trailer ball. For a 1-7/8 inch ball, use # 19260 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
