Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this CURT seven foot long seven-way to six-way coiled adapter cord with the six way socket for flat towing. Now this adapter cord right here is designed to plug into RV seven-way socket and the included six-way socket on your towed car when you're flat towing. Basically, this will allow you to power your braking system, your taillights, and any other towing accessories. If you notice, it is a coil and cord so it won't drag on the ground, but it will stretch up to seven feet in length.
We mentioned the socket. This includes a six-way socket here that'll install on your towed vehicle. This six-way socket mounts on the front of the vehicle and wires into the electrical components of your flat towed setup. Allows this six-way to plug right into there and then this plug into your RV. This cord does resist wear and tear, has a nice durable vinyl coating on it.

Easy install and works like it should. I even wired a 12 volt charge line in with it.
with my blue ox tow setup plus a drop-hitch the original cord is about 2 inches too short. if I take a hard turn it pulls out of the socket. this cord is longer and clearly takes up any slack automatically. It is perfect for what I need.
The adapter cord arrived a day b4 scheduled. It is very strong and fit perfect. My only complaint is the wrong cord was recommended and so we had to send it back and order this one.

This item was mislabeled from the manufacturer. I received a 7 foot cord instead of the 8 foot cord that was on my order.
etrailer almost immediately responded to my email on how to rectify the error offering another shipment. After checking the warehouse stock, etrailer found all inventory was mislabled and were unable to send a replacement. Since we were on the road and needed immediate replacement we opted for a return and credit, which etrailer provided without hassle or shipping charges. Very happy with etrailer customer service on this matter which gives them the 5 stars. Curt on the other hand would not receive a rating because I could not use their product.
Solid and reliable cord. Mounting the connectors was straight forward and not difficult.
Nice coiled cord. It is replacing one that the insulation was breaking as it was quite old. Very easy to use and I like that the one end is the 7 pin plug as my old one was the smaller round 6 pin and I had to use an adapter.
It is the correct form and fit it also arrived on time
I used this to connect my motorhome to my towed vehicle and it worked out great! Definatly liked that it was a heavy duty cord with strong connectors!
Replaced the vehicle side of connection as the old one worked sporadicly.
Turns out unit was full of water.
Connections to the recepticle were well marked and easy to use. The water seal seamed better than the old, time will tell.

Very nicely built cord with foolproof locking ends. First one I've ever owned, but the one I picked out of the available lineup. Etrailer.com is a great place to purchase items such as this.
No problem it worked as it should. I do have to wire tie the flap on my RV to keep the 7 way plug from coming out.
Everything worked together seamlessly. Went yo alaska and back to PA this year.
