Replacement Lid Lifter for an Old Thule Alpine Ski Box

Ive inherited an old Thule Alpine rooftop ski box, but the lid lifters struts no longer work. What can I replace them with?

I contacted the manufacturer about the correct replacement for your older Thule Alpine. Given the age of your Alpine, there is not a sure fire correct strut/lid lifter. But, they did recommend that you try the Replacement Dual Force Strut for Thule Roof Box # TH14933 as it is the most likely option for your older Alpine.
