Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this replacement lid lifter hinge for the Thule Vector rooftop cargo boxes. And this is for a quantity of one hinge. Now this part here will replace a lid lifter hinge on your rooftop cargo box. It is designed to fit the Thule Vector boxes, part number TH613200, or TH613201.
And it will also fit the Vector Alpine boxes, part number TH613500 or part number TH613501. Now this hinge is what'll connect to a ball socket on the base of the cargo box. And up here also, to a ball socket that's on the lid of the cargo box. And it'll help you easily lift the lid of the cargo box, so when you go to lift the lid this hinge will open up just like that and lift up the lid and then hold it in the open position. And then when you go to close it, you just push the back down just like that to lock it into place.
Now there are two hinges that originally come with the cargo box, this is just for a quantity of one replacement hinge. But that should do it for the review on the replacement lid lifter hinge for the Thule Vector rooftop cargo boxes..
These were a perfect replacement for the broken lid lifters on my Thule Vector M - the only reason I found out they were broken was because of the lid sagging and not staying propped up, and the front would not secure as easily as usual.. I used some lip balm on the ball of the rear upper lid, since getting some pressure with the angle of the lid top was preventing me from getting a good grip on that one, the lip balm helped the new lid lifter arm slide on with a little persuasion.
Item arrived quickly, fit correctly, and customer service was in touch the from order to delivery. Thanks
Direct replacement hinge for my THULE Vector Alpine. Not sure how my original hinge crumbled into pieces. I used a screwdriver and a garden trowel to use as leverage and not pry against the cargo box itself. Both attachments points are ball and socket. Lower one is easier to snap in, the top took some luce and a lot of pressure to snap in. The box was still on top of my Jeep so balance, leverage, and footing were difficult. Once installed it works like new.
Quick response and shipping.
