This sturdy cargo basket lets you transport gear on your vehicle's roof. The tubular steel basket has a built-in fairing to reduce drag and wind noise. Universal mounting hardware fits most crossbar spreads and configurations.

The Thule Canyon XT cargo basket allows you to easily transport a wide range of gear on your vehicle's roof. It maximizes your vehicle's cargo carrying capacity and keeps dirty and damp gear outside of the vehicle. A built-in fairing reduces drag and wind noise, and the mounting hardware is adjustable to accommodate different crossbar spreads.
The low-profile Canyon XT is wedge-shaped and aerodynamic. A wind fairing attaches to the front of the basket to help redirect air up and over the basket. This helps to reduce drag and wind noise. And the side walls are tapered for easy loading.
The basket has universal mounting hardware that fits most crossbar styles, and the hardware adjusts to accommodate most crossbar spreads.
You can position the hardware anywhere along the bottom of the basket to match your crossbar spread. The hardware easily clamps to basket's bottom rails.
To install the basket, simply align the included U-bolts under your crossbars and use the hand knobs to tighten them to the mounting hardware. The system includes 3 sets of U-bolts to accommodate most crossbar sizes.
You can also mount the basket directly into your crossbar's top channels using the included T-bolts. Just slide the T-bolts into the crossbar top channels and use the hand knobs to tighten them to the mounting hardware.
To increase the basket's cargo carrying capacity, install the Thule Canyon XT basket extension (TH8591XT - sold separately). This 20" extension allows you to carry extra-long gear on your vehicle's roof.

The package arrived damaged. The front part of the basket was severely bent. I didn't allow myself enough time to resolve (although I didn't expect the steel cage to be bent upon arrival). I am now traveling the country with a brand new Thule cargo basket that is zip tied together.
Great product and absolutely awesome service. I originally order the Thule Canyon XT basket from a VERY well know online entity. I wasn't able to get a ship date (they said a would be notified via email when a firm date had been established. After two days of waiting for the message, I cancelled the order and checked etrailer.com. They had the same Thule basket at the same price, so I ordered it. It wasn't 10 minutes later that I received an email thanking me for the order and further stating that the product had shipped!!!!!! A UPS tracking number came early the next day!!!! Great product, great price and great service!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks - etrailer..........
Excellent! Only issue regarding shipping box a bit battered - but product packed well. Also, hardware missing ie a single washer, which was replaced with one of my own.
Basket attaches with a small flimsy plastic piece. Poor design choice and I don’t trust it. It should have a proper metal bracket for a solid connection to the roof like any other roof accessory that I have seen. Not safe and I’ll likely get rid of this. $5[XXX] waste
Basket is sturdy and wasn't bad to install. I've used it several times and it's great to have with a new car because stuff I don't want in car goes up there. I ride bikes and basket is great for weekend bike trips for extra space as well as whatever I need to haul and construction makes it easy to hook load straps and secure load. Basket does make some noise but it's worth it. Overall great purchase that I plan to get lots of use out of.

I still love it!! 1 minor thing though...the plastic piece creates a lot of wind noise. Other than that, its an awesome product. I also bought an extension which made it look so much better.
Perfect fit. Looks very slim and low enough to clear my garage door. Always love Thule products. Make the vehicle looks more rugged with its new curves.

Nice balance of quality, fitment, style, and weight. One year and it has held up well. Fits 2019 Toyota RAV4 perfectly.
I’d been looking at this product for a while. No oversize shipping fee. Fairly straightforward directions— IKEA experience a plus. Looks great on the Outback. Feels solid, and is ready to go.

Love my new Thule canyon xt roof cargo basket!! Fits on my 2022 Toyota Prius Nightshade, it was easy to assemble!! Shipping was awesome came in quicker then I expected!!
I love this basket! Once I centered on cross braces, it was easy to leave the connectors in same spot. Also, low enough profile to drive in and out my garage. We have a screen door so that made it a shorter height than traditional garage door.
Received and installed just in time for a family trip to a cabin. This rack was perfect for storing coolers and bags to free up space in the back of the car. The only difficult step in the installation was getting it as close to centered as possible on the roof rails.
Fast delivery. Thule instruction are very good. No problem mounting on my Evo Wingbars. Looks great. Ready for safari.
The Canyon XT installed with ease & also provides multiple mounting brackets for attaching to crossbars.
It will definitely give us more interior room or additional cargo capacity!
I highly suggest reading the directions a few times before you start & during assembly. Some parts are in the same bag for a step while other steps need parts from different bags.
Depending on your vehicle, all parts may not be used. So make sure the parts you have left over are the right ones!
Ordered the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket from etrailer. It came within days of oredering and is as advertised. Ordering from etrailer was an excellent experience. They followed kept me informed of the status as we went along and sent me warranty information after receipt George and Carol were great to work with. PS - the installation was a breeze and we used it to haul roof top items on our camping trip last weekend. Thank You - I will certainly not hesitate to order from etrailer again!!
We were very happy with our Thule roof rack. The low profile design works well and does not have too much wind noise compared to others I’ve had. It’s held up very well also through the seasons.

Still in great shape. No rust. No rattles. Great cargo rack
This was not too hard to install. It looks great on the truck and will eliminate so much “stuff” packed on the inside!!! I really like it. Not noisy at all. (There is a slight change in wind noise but not much at all)
The cargo basket was a given as a gift. The recipient is delighted.

a beautiful addition to a beautiful car, "naked" roof rails (glass roof with no rails present). basket, both e-trailer supplied and a Yakima tire mount with locked large turnbuckle makes a perfect urban road runner MadMAX badboy

Working well used this basket on bunch of mtb camping trips. Holds gear Im using Thule bag with it works very well keeps things dry and secure. Highly recommend these products.
