Will Trailer Hitch & Wiring For 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Limited Hybrid Void Warranty

Question:
I have a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Limited FWD non-Hybrid. Im looking at purchasing a travel trailer that weighs 3000 lbs dry with a tongue weight of 300 lbs. My vehicle did not come with the Tow Package from the factory. If I were to purchase a hitch and a brake controller from you, will that void my warranty? Does the hitch rated for 4000 lbs mean that I can tow upto 4000 lbs even though the vehicle is rated for 3600?

Good questions, and installing a trailer hitch receiver on your 2022 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid will not void the warranty; you are protected by the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This act says if something is damaged on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless the part caused the problem in question. So you can add aftermarket parts to a vehicle without any affect on the warranty.
As for towing, the capacity is limited to the lowest-rated component of your set up. I took a look at the owner's manual of a '22 Pacifica, and it says that WITHOUT the trailer tow package the max you can tow is 1,500 lbs with a 149 lb tongue weight (3,600 lbs towing/350 lbs tongue weight WITH the tow package). Those are the limits of your vehicle, so you'd have to go with a camper smaller than 3,000 lbs. If you decide to do so, here is exactly what you'd need to tow if you have a trailer with electric brakes:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98903
- TowSmart Towing Starter Kit # TS94FR
- Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56322
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
- Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195
