Great video on the installation
On a 2016 Jeep Patriot Sport the install was challenging. The hitch itself was great but removing the Jeep’s skirt covering the bumper was the challenging part. I would recommend the product, well made and a good fit.
Just has it put on. Fits lake a glove.

This well built reciever was delivered quickly and installation instructions were straightfoward. An excellent addition to my jeep compass. Already have a cargo carrier installed. would defiantly recommend etrailer to anyone in need of towing or hauling equipment.

After considering having this hitch mounted for me, I decided to try it myself during this Covid-19 year when I was marooned at home anyway. The instructional video was a must. I got the exhaust hung out of the way, the heat shield out, and the little black box removed. At 69 years old, I couldn't quite lift the hitch into place but my young neighbor muscled it in while I put the bolts in and we were good. Used a hack saw blade to cut the bumper plastic and it looks better than the last job done by a dealer.

This hitch bolted on to our Jeep Patriot with no problems or need to alter in any way. We attached a bike rack heavy enough for our two ebikes and hauled them from Illinois to Florida. Then we removed the bike rack and backed up to our 8 foot box trailer full of stuff to move it around the yard so we could mow under it. You would never even know anything was attached to the car.
I would highly recommend this hitch to anyone who owns a jeep Patriot. It is a perfect fit.

I havent had much need for it except to keep moving the trailer around to mow. The hitch still look like new. No rust.

Excellent quality. For a 73 year old guy with a brain injury and Parkinsons, it took me a little longer considering I was working in my driveway in 35 degree weather and off and on rain showers. However, it fit my Jeep perfectly, just as advertised. As soon as I finished the installation, i hooked up my boat and took a test drive, it worked great!

My trailer hitch tried to get out of the box during shipping. Luckily everything was still in the box when I received it.
First time installing hitch myself. Totally worth it! Video made it super easy to follow along and the process overall is fairly easy. Would advise a lift or ramp to create more clearance under the car/suv but still able to complete, without one.

this hitch works well - just like any other quality hitch
This is my second etrailer hitch. I’m very happy with them. I did the install alone. Better to have a friend help. I was able to install it without having to lift it off the ground. It probably would have been easier if I had put it on jack stands. I’m not a mechanic, but I decent around tools. You don’t need to be an expert to install this.

After one year of use, I can admit that with proper installation the Curt Brand Hitch Receiver is fine and Sturdy Product.
Fits as advertised. Couldn't get the muffler to come down but three of us got it into position. It bolted on properly. Noah was a big help in putting the complete order. Bike rack is on back order but I'm looking forward to it and the pin lock coming in the mail soon.

Pin lock useless, no size available. You’ll have to bolt it securely to the hitch receiver and hope it deters thieves from stealing everything. you’ll need to have bike locks if don’t want a thief taking them off your rack.
I installed this hitch on my 2017 Jeep Compass. Followed the instructions and video , i did remove the nuts and dropped the charcoal canister ( it made it easier to install the drivers side bolts). I like the one piece construction and the black finish looks great. I use a cargo carrier and utility trailer.
