I have a solution for you, but as the short spindles have not been produced for some time now, there will not be a hub that will fit them properly, unfortunately.
You will need to replace the spindles with the BT8 Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # TRU59FR. If you are or know a good welder, this can be done pretty easily, but you need to make sure the cross tube connecting the two spindles has an inner diameter of 1-3/8" (typically a 1-3/4" outer diameter). Once these are on, the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly item # CE13110 can be installed quickly and easily.
