Features to know about

Smooth, Steady Pull Every Time: Round 60" Axle with 2,000 lb Capacity

A trailer that tracks straight and runs quiet starts with a solid axle. This round trailer axle measures 60" from hub face to hub face and 48" from spring center to spring center, giving it a balanced stance and predictable handling. Its 2,000 lb weight capacity and 1-3/4" diameter steel tube provide the strength you need for steady, controlled towing mile after mile.

Ready to Roll Right Out of the Box: Pre-Greased Idler Hubs Included

No need to pack bearings or chase down extra parts. The pre-greased cast iron idler hubs come loaded with bearings, races, seals, and lug nuts, and feature a 4 on 4" bolt pattern that fits 8" to 14" wheels. With the lubrication already handled, setup is fast and clean so you can focus on getting your trailer back on the road.

Built for Reliable Performance: Straight Easy Grease Spindles and Strong Welds

Each spindle features a built-in grease zerk for simple maintenance. The patented welding process delivers 40% stronger welds that prevent spindle failure, giving you long-term reliability. The underslung design—spring seats welded to the underside of the axle—keeps your trailer low for easier loading and unloading.

Even Tire Wear and Confident Handling: Zero Camber Bend for True Tracking

The slight bend in the center of the axle isn’t a flaw—it’s what keeps your tires running evenly on the road. This zero camber angle design ensures even tread contact across the full width of each tire, improving straight-line acceleration and keeping your trailer stable behind you.

Built Tough and Tested Safe: Certified and Durable Construction

Made from high-strength steel with sturdy cast iron hubs, this axle is built to last. It’s CSA, QAI, and SAE-N certified for safety and quality, so you can tow with confidence knowing it’s been thoroughly tested for real-world performance.

trailer axel is excelent. I have towed it about 4000 miles. It tyracks excellent and is very stable.

by:

Very good axle. Exactly to specs. Not only was it cambered but it has a grease channel for easy maintenance.

by:

Great shipping, fast

by:

Great product! I bent my old axle by overloading my utility trailer. I found your web site and found a replacement. I thought the price was reasonable. The new axle came fast and was easy to install.

by:

Excellent customer service. The axle got separated from the hubs in shipment. When I called them, they told me it was backordered for a month. They contacted me less than a week later and sent me a new one. They were very attentive.

Putting it all together was relatively easy, if a little messy. This axle combo compared to the old one is like the difference between a paper straw and a metal one!

by:

The axle and hub/bearings were great, very good quality.
Just fyi, regarding the u-bolt kit, 2 of the 4 u-bolts supplied were 3/8 UNC thread and the other 2 were UNF--- but all the nuts were UNF --- fortunately I had some spare UNC nuts on hand. Very pleased with the quality and speedy delivery.

by:

Works great fast shipping nice people to deal with.

No trouble at ALL. Its been a workhorse and we thank everyone at ETrailer.

by:

Axle and hubs were good quality. Dimensions were spot on 48" center hole of perch to center hole of perch. But.......some knucklehead built my trailer with 47" centers - so I ground off the perches and relocated on 47" centers. Took just over an hour to cut, measure, grind and weld old perches on new centers.

There was one odd phenomenon I've not seen before. The cotter pin hole was not driven through the center axis of the axle but rather offset to one side. Maybe that's how things are made these days.....or someone sneezed at the factory and the cotter pin holes moved. Nonetheless it's installed and works.

My Etrailer salesman, James X-72990 was pleasant in taking my order but told me the axle wouldn't be here for over a week. Then - he must have done something and the axle showed up in 2 days.....(Thanks James) Good product, good experience.

Installed this axle on an old Jon boat trailer, and it has been great!

by:

excellent fit

by:

All in all good service and quality products. My only critique would be that the axle had a rubber protector on one end, but the end didn't and the spindle broke through the packing exposing the theads.

by:

The hubs didn’t fit the axel right. There was a gap where the axle met the hub. it wasn’t sealed good so I was hesitant to put it on the road. I thought it be a kit would be easy and would match up right away, but that was not the case. I also thought they would’ve been assembled for me before I bought it. I wasn’t aware that I would have to put the hubs on the axle myself. It’s a shame because I’ve never been able to use my boat Because of thisb

There should be a little bit of a gap so that the hub can spin properly. Can you send me some photos of what yours looks like?

by:

Easy ordering, axle arrived on time and no damage. The axle worked perfect for my camping trailer, would recommend your company any time.

One season ending and waiting for the next. There have been no issues with the axle I purchased from etrailer.

by:

I was told that my item would be received on January 20, 2026. I received part of the item today January 20th. But the axle is arriving tomorrow January 21st according to the people at ETraier. We’ll see. Major inconvenience because IT WASNT COMMUNICATED PROPERLY. Big fan of etrailer but you can do better than this.

by:

Delivery extremely quick. Very helpful custservice. Only thing….the axle and hub combo did NOT include new castle nuts, washer or new cotter pin.

  • Solution for Replacement Hub For 2k Axle With LM48548 Inner Bearing
The 1.375" measurement corresponds with the # LM48548. The closest thing to 1.255 I'm aware of is the # LM67048 which measures 1.250" for the inner diameter. One way or another, bearing combinations using the # LM48548 are obsolete so we do not have a hub that will fit. The best solution is to replace the axle with one that uses a modern bearing combination. To find a replacement axle you will need the hub face to hub face measurement. I have attached a helpful video below which explains...

  • Looking For Replacement Axle For 4 x 8 Northern Tool Folding Trailer
Hello Gary, thanks for reaching out. We may have an axle for you, but there is no way to look up your trailer online to know exactly what you need. Trailer manufacturers just do not make this kind of information available online. To find a replacement axle, I will need to know the axle weight capacity, hub face length, and spring center length of the current axle. There should be a tag or sticker on the axle that shows this information. If that is not present you can measure the hub face...

  • Diameter of 2k etrailer Axle and Spring Seats to Make Axle Flip Kit
Hi Dean; the # e25GR is a standard 2k axle so it has a 1-3/4" diameter. To make your own axle flip kit for this axle you will need the U-Bolt Kit # APUBR-10 and two of the Spring Seat for Typical 2,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles # TRSS175.

  • Replacement Axle Recommendation for 49.5 Spring Center and 59.5 Hub Face Measurements
For a standard axle we have the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 4 on 4 Bolt Pattern # e25GR which is rated for 2,000 lbs but the spring seats are 48" apart on center so for this to fit you'll have to cut off the current sets and have new ones, part # TRSS175, welded on. Because of this I recommend picking up the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # A20RS440 instead. This is also rated for 2,000 lbs but it uses brackets that install directly to your trailer frame and the suspension...

  • Trailer Axle Solution for 60" Hub Face and 46-1/2" Spring Center Measurements
I have some possible solutions for your application, but the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e25GR that you were looking at has the 60" long hub face length you're needing but the spring center distance is 48" which is a bit longer than what you're needing and unfortunately the only spring center length we have for the 60" axles. To get this to fit your jet ski trailer you'll have to have a welder cut off the current spring seats and weld on new ones with part # TRSS175. For a standard...

  • How To Choose the Correct Replacement Axle for a Scamp Trailer
In order to choose the correct replacement axle for a trailer you'll first want to start with the weight capacity. The weight capacity can be found on the axle tag in the center of the beam. Then, you'll need to measure the hub face (center of hub face to center of hub face) and spring center (center of spring center to center of spring center). This will then give you the info needed to pick out the correct replacement axle for your trailer. I have also attached a video I did to help others...

  • Will etrailer Trailer Axle With Idler Hubs Fit Harbor Freight Trailer
In order to find a replacement axle for your Harbor Freight trailer you will need to take some measurements to determine the correct axle length. The most important measurement is the distance from hub face to hub face. Additionally, you can measure the spring center distance. When replacing your trailer's axle, you should be able to figure out which type you need by determining your trailer's capacity, the bolt pattern of your wheels, and these measurements. • Looking for Replacement Trailer Axle that is 48 inches Between Spring Seats and has 4 Bolt Pattern
Hey Peter, we have the axle part # e25GR which is pretty close to what you need but not totally the same. This has 48 inches from spring seat center to spring seat center, comes with 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern hubs, has a 2,000 lb weight capacity, but is a little longer overall at 60 inches from hub face to hub face and is a round axle instead of square. Square axles aren't very common so I imagine you might have a hard time finding one. Would you be open to going to a round axle?

  • Solution for Replacement Hubs on Boat Trailer With L44649/LM11749 Bearings
I have a solution for you, but we do not have any hubs that use inner bearing # L44649 and outer bearing LM11749. This is an old bearing combination no longer used so replacement hubs aren't around anymore. It is for that reason that the best option is to replace your axle with one that uses a standard bearing combination. Based on the bearings, what you have is likely a 2,000 lb axle. I recommend checking the axle tag to verify this information. In addition to the capacity, you will also...

In regards to the installation of a trailer axle like the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs part # e25GR, you'd simply need to lift the trailer off the ground until the wheels are no longer touching then it's just a matter of removing the u-bolts and sliding the axle out. I have attached an install video I did on this line for you below as well. I don't recommend turning the trailer over for installation of the axle, I have never done this and I don't think it would be feasible for most trailers.
