Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Durable Acrylic Enamel Finish
The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powdeThe wheel on this assembly has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.r paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Taskmaster radials have double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Taskmaster radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster 530 R12 Radial Trailer tire in a Load Range C, and it's mounted on this 12 inch Vesper Silver Modular Steel Trailer Wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly's ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and campers. The wheel is a steel wheel. Has the modular design.
When we say "modular design," that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. That wheel is sturdy and corrosion resistant. They do use a silver acrylic enamel finish on it to resist chipping and other damage better than the power coat finishes. The finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, and then it covers an eco primer layer. So it does give the excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating of more than a thousand hours.
Now the size of the wheel, the diameter, which is measured inside to inside, is 12 inches. The width on just the wheel is four inches wide. You mentioned the bolt pattern is a four on four inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, four, it's pretty easy because the lug holes are directly across from each other. So when you measure it, you just measure from the center, pick any hole.
Measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this, it'll measure four inches. So that's a four lug, four inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size it uses, a half inch by 20. And the weight capacity on just the wheel is 1,520 pounds.
Now if you notice, this does not have a center cap. It is not included. If you do want one, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get one that'll fit this pilot hole diameter, 'cause when you install your center cap, it will go through this hole. The diameter on this is 2.84 inches. The tire is an ST tire, which means Special Trailer tire. Has the sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. It is a radial tire, which means it's constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for nice, long life. The tire is bank tested to ensure that the rubber holds up overtime. And it uses a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall. 5.30 R12. The R means that it is a radial tire. The section width is gonna be right at 5.4 inch. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 21.6 inches. The tire capacity, this is a load range C tire, which means it's a six ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 1050 pounds at 80 PSI. And the trailer tires are now coming through with a speed rating that they stamp on them. And on this one it's pretty small, but you can see it, right where the load range is, right above the load range, it'll say 81 miles per hour. So the speed rating on this is 81 miles per hour. The assembly, this whole tire and wheel assembly meets the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications, and it does exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. This does also come with a two year platinum plus warranty, which will include emergency tire change service and other benefits. But that should do it for a look at this Taskmaster 530 R12 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range C, got it on this 12 inch Vesper Silver Modular Steel Trailer Wheel.
