Question:
Hello, I am looking to find the correct bearing kit for my boat trailer. It is an old custom trailer, so Im struggling to find the correct kit. I took the bearings off and found that each side has a timken 15118 and a 09074 bearing. There is also a seal that I would like to replace. Do you have anything available that would work for this application? Thanks!

Hey Kevin, due to the age of your trailer there aren't any current bearing kits that are going to work. I am guessing this is a very old trailer based on the bearing numbers. If the trailer is older than late 90's typically the bearings aren't what's available now.
Usually in a situation like this the best option is to replace the axle. To do that we'd need to know the distance between the spring seat centers as well as the distance from hub face to hub face, and the axle capacity. We have some axle options but we don't have every configuration available at this time so you might need to have custom axles order at a local trailer shop.

Hey Kevin, did you get a chance to measure the spring seat centers and hub face distance for your trailer axle? Once you have those numbers, it’ll be easier to see if one of our axle options could work. Your update could make it easier for others with older trailers to find a solution too.
