Question:
Can I replace the lock cylinder in order to re-key it?
asked by: Scott
Expert Reply:
The lock tumbler can be replaced on the "Junior" Locking Stainless Steel Flush Door Latch # L1833. The Replacement Key and Tumbler Set for "Junior" Flush Latches # CHKT is the correct replacement for this. All of the "Junior" series locking door latches use the same lock and key.
We do not have any alternate lock tumblers confirmed to replace the lock tumblers on the "Junior" series locking latches. This does not mean you can not replace them but I can not give you an answer one way or the other. You would need to take measurements to ensure that the new lock tumblers are compatible. We recommend using the # CHKT that is confirmed by the manufacturer.
