Can etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Be Installed On 2022 Honda Pilot With Hands Free Lift Gate?
Published 10/08/2021 >
Question:
I want to install the etrailer hitch on my 2022 Pilot so I can tow my trailer, but see it says my hands free lift gate sensor won't work. Is there a way to make it work?

There sure is!
After installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 on your 2022 Honda Pilot you will still be able to use your hands-free liftgate sensor, you will just need to move your foot to either side of the receiver and move it in and out until you find the sensors sweet spot.
To complete your towing package you will also need to pick up a vehicle wiring harness # 118760 if your trailer has a 4-way connector or the # 118286 if your trailer has a 7-way connector, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
