2011 Chevrolet Traverse

2011 Chevy Traverse LT1 Installation was easy. However, the bolt head was too large for the access holes. Most of the time for installation was used filing the access holes to get the bolts through the frame. I was able to reinstall bumper fascia after installation.

Installation took about 45 minutes.

Took a little longer than 30 minutes to install, but only because I tried to not disconnect the mufflers from the frame. Fishing the back bolts through the bumper was kind of weird, but was not hard at all.

  • Will Trailer Hitch from Buick Enclave Fit Lincoln MKX
The Draw-Tite Class III # 75528 and the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13424, which are the available trailer hitches confirmed to fit the 2014 Buick Enclave, are compatible with certain model years of the GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and the Chevy Traverse. However, the trailer hitch on your Buick Enclave will not fit your new Lincoln MKX, as the body styles are simply too different between the vehicle models. If you are able to tell me the year of your Lincoln MKX, I will be happy to...

  • What Size Bolts are Used to Install Curt Hitch on 2017 Chevy Traverse
The install hardware that the Curt hitch part # 13424 that you referenced uses is M12-1.75 x 30mm. If you were looking for replace install hardware for this hitch we have that with the part number # RHK. On the product page for this you'd need to enter your hitch part number and then select Curt as the manufacturer for the hitch and you'd be set.

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2023 Buick Envision
No, I am sorry Stephen it does not. The Curt item # 13424 only fits the 2008 - 2017 Buick Enclaves. For your 2023 Buick Envision you'll need the Curt Hitch item # C94NR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Buick with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. I have linked an installation video we did below so you can see how to get it set up.

  • Does Carriage Bolt Blocks Come with Curt Trailer Hitch 13424
Yes, the carriage bolt blocks (they do look like spacers) and all install hardware are included with the Curt hitch part # 13424. I attached a picture that shows all of the hardware that comes with the hitch. CM-SP6 is called out in the instructions as the carriage bolt blocks. These are what prevents the bolt from just turning with the nut as you torque the hitch down.

  • Which 2 Inch Hitch Will Fit My 2017 Chevrolet Volt
When it comes to installing a hitch on your 2017 Chevrolet Volt, I recommend The EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2 inch # 306-X7338. The hitch is completely hidden and has a gross tow rating up to 2,000 pounds and has a tongue weight of 300 pounds. Make sure to check your manual to see what the proper tow rating is for your vehicle. This is the only 2 inch hitch that is confirmed for your 2017 Chevrolet Volt. • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2017 Chevrolet Traverse
The only significant difference between the Draw-Tite # 75528 and the Curt # 13424 is the capacity. Since both of these far exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle that really doesn't make a difference. If I were to recommend a hitch for your 2017 Chevy Traverse it actually wouldn't be either of these. Instead, I would choose the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98863. This hitch has the same design and capacity as the Curt. What sets it apart from the other two is the matte black...

The shipping weight of the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98863 is 30 lbs. Since this includes packaging the hitch itself weighs about 27 lbs. When we installed the Curt # 13424 on a 2012 GMC Acadia (which you put in for the vehicle information) the exhaust did need to be lowered a little bit but I think that car ramps should give you enough clearance to install the etrailer.com trailer hitch as it installs the exact same way. • Trailer Hitch and GCWR for 2017 AWD Chevy Traverse
I took a look at an online version of the owner's manual for a 2017 Chevy Traverse and it says that for an AWD without the V92 Trailer Towing Package the maximum trailer weight is 2,000 lbs and the GCWR is 7,700 lbs (GCWR is the total weight of the trailer, trailer cargo, Traverse and Traverse cargo including passengers - essentially the weight of everything).
