Question:
I am towing a boat and the total weight with trailer is about 4000 pounds. Which hitch would you recommend between the Gen Y Torsion and Curt Rebellion? Would there be enough tongue weight about 400 pounds for gen y torsion to function properly? My tow vehicle is 2019 Trail Boss Chevy Silverado. Thanks!

Since you have such a light boat trailer I recommend the Curt Rebellion XD # C83WR. This will work better with the lighter amount of tongue weight that you have of 400lbs. The hitch will also be much easier to use for you as it weighs only 43lbs compared to the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1024 which is more than double that at 71lbs.
The Gen-Y will still work but for optimal performance out of their hitch they want to see 500lbs of tongue weight.
The Curt Rebellion XD # C83WR includes a 2" ball and 2-5/16" ball so that you can use with different couplers.
Be sure to pick up a InfiniteRule Lock Set # IR47FR to secure your hitch. This lock set is constructed of stainless steel for a long lasting set that you can leave attached year round and do not have to worry about salt water destroying.
