Recommended Improvements To Reduce Trailer Bounce On Legend Aluminum Equipment Trailer Torsion Axle

Question:
I have a 24foot Legend 12k aluminum equipment trailer. When empty the trailer tongue bounces like a teeter totter effect and tugs on the rear of the truck like a bucking bronco. Tow rig is a 2019 Silverado 1500 crew RST. I purchased the Curt Rebellion XD shock absorbing hitch as a hopeful solution but there is zero noticeable improvement over my weigh safe WS6-2. Are there some alternative ideas to help solve my issue? Im thinking about a tongue box for gear to try and add tongue weight when empty but would prefer not to have that weight when loaded so hoping for another option.

As your 24' Legend 12,000lb aluminum equipment trailer has torsion axles there is nothing that can be added to these to improve the bouncing that you have. Being that your trailer is constructed of lightweight materials and has such heavy duty axles the bouncing is amplified. This is why you did not notice a difference with the Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount # C83WR.
My only recommendation would be to see if your tires can safely be driven with a lower air pressure in them to absorb the amount of shock you are experiencing. If so you could carry the Bulldog Portable Compressor # BDW41000 with you to inflate the tires when you need the extra capacity.
If you are unsure if your tires can be driven on a lower than maximum air pressure please let me know what tires you have and I can check for you.
