The first thing to check when you're wanting to flat tow your vehicle is your owners manual. There will be a sectional usually labeled as "Recreational Towing" that will state if your vehicle is able to be flat towed and what steps have to be followed to ensure the safety of your vehicle. You'll need a tow bar, tow bar wiring kit, base plate, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:

Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000lbs Item # RM-522. The hassle-free latches on this hitch-mounted tow bar let you easily release your car, even at a hard angle or on unlevel ground. Stainless steel, telescoping arms and large hookup radius make connecting a snap.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord Item # RM-152-98146-7. This wiring kit lets you connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your towed vehicle's lighting system.

Note: Since you have a separate lighting system, this kit will cause your brake lights to function as both brake and turn signal lights. A wiring converter ( # 118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes will be needed if you want to retain separate turn and brake signals.

Base Plate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Item # RM-523175-5. The direct-connect brackets are virtually invisible, easy to mount and remove, and they eliminate the need for a quick-disconnect crossbar on your tow bar.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional Item # HM39524. This system easily switches between proportional or full braking. One-touch Auto Start makes setup fast and easy and the included battery charge line will keep your vehicle's battery charged while towing.

Safety Cables: Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks - 42" Long - 5,000lbs - Qty 2 Item # C80151. The Coiled design eliminates slack - keeps cables from dragging on the ground.

You will need to remove the 15 amp ECM fuse, 15 amp OnStar fuse, and the 50 amp BATT1 fuse. To make life easier and avoid having to physically pull the fuses each time you can install the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles - (2) 20-Amp ATC/ATO Fuses Item # RM76514 and Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles - 50-Amp FMX Fuse Item # RM-76517.
