What Size is the Opening for the Eyes of Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables 80151

I have pop trailer and the safety chains on it now are bolted on, so a bolt go through one eye of the chain I am trying to figure out if I will be able to attach these the same way. How big is the loop at one end?

Expert Reply:
I went out to the warehouse and pulled a set of Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # C80151 to measure the size of the eye opening for you. The width at the widest point is 0.65 inches (between 5/8 and 11/16 inches). And at the longest the opening is 1.37 inches (1-3/8 inches). With these measurements you should be able to determine if the bolt will go through.
